About Equius

Equius Group is an organizational development firm that helps make our client’s vision reality. Our team brings deep expertise and experience in organizational development, leadership development, human resources, operations, and much more. We apply systems thinking and an equity lens to everything that we do.


Our services span a wide spectrum of Organizational Development (OD) including culture shaping and leadership development projects however the bulk of our work has focused on helping organizations develop, operationalize racial equity and diversity, equity, & inclusion strategies, and build the internal capacity to achieve them.


Our people are core to everything we do – they are the key to our ability to create a positive impact and exceed client expectations. We focus on relationships and each other. Organizational development (OD) is a critical and science-based process that helps organizations build their capacity to change and achieve greater effectiveness by developing, improving, and reinforcing strategies, structures, and processes. 

​

Organizational Development focuses on: 

  • Building organizational capacity to change and achieve greater effectiveness

  • Looks at changes in strategy, structure, and processes to achieve organizational change 

  • Systems thinking – focusing on an entire organizational system 

  • Differs from human resources management which focuses on people practices. OD takes a holistic approach to organizational change

Additionally, Equius views Organizational Development through a racial equity lens: 

  • Analyzes racism and other forms of oppression on four levels to identify root causes and designs interventions for sustainable change 

  • Supports organizational transformation to center and embed racial equity and diversity, equity, and inclusion broadly 

  • Understands this work is both personal and institutional 

  • Focuses on measurable progress and not perfection

What is Organizational Development?

About Our Name & Logo

The name Equius is rooted in the belief that it is possible to build a society where all people thrive but doing so will take all of us working together toward that common goal. 

 

The logo is inspired by the Bese Saka, an Adinkra Symbol from the Akan people of Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire. It means unity, affluence, abundance - these concepts are an extension of our belief that there is room for all us together.
